Today’s stupid headline, from CBS:

Man Finds $140,000, Turns It Into Cops

I wasn’t aware technology existed that could transform paper currency into police officers. Or maybe the headline is meant metaphorically: you could perhaps use $140,000 to purchase some cops, though I’m not sure what the going rate is. Depends on the jurisdiction, I suppose.

Lesson for today: “into” is not interchangeable with “in to.” A common error, but you’d think a professional writer could get it right.
