Bob: very interesting.

One point Joe emphasizes is that this is just five years of a very tumultuous timeline: “Characters and universe have history before, and history after.” This is close to my mind, as I find that, after the conclusion of Battlestar Galactica, it’s very easy to compare the entire series to Babylon 5.

At the end of B5, everyone is going somewhere new, somewhere interesting. At the end of BSG (no spoilers, don’t worry) everyone’s pretty content. It’s like BSG shows the few interesting years in these people’s lives. B5 shows five of the many interesting years in its characters’ lives.
