You overlooked this bit in the final paragraph:

The new deal means that for the first four weeks after Warner Bros. movies are released on DVD, consumers will be able to only purchase them, download them them through Internet or cable video-on-demand services, or rent them at retail stores like Blockbuster.

So these movies will still be available through Netflix, but only for instant streaming. That’s okay by me. I never request a disc from Netflix if I can watch the movie via my Roku player. This may be Netflix’s method of nudging its members toward using digital delivery more and mail delivery less.
